Change Windows Information

Once you have installed Windows 98, you can change the Registered Owner, Registered Organization, or Product ID to anything you want. To do this:

     1. Choose Start \ Run.
     2. In the dialog box type in Regedit then choose OK.

     3. Navigate to the key - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Current
         Version (just double left mouse click each entry to expand the items).

     4. To change the values of the RegisteredOrganization, RegisteredOwner, or ProductID, simply
         double-click on them in the right window pane. In the bottom box in the menu that is displayed, put
         in the changes you wish to make. Once complete, choose OK.

     5. Close out Regedit by pressing the X in the upper right corner of the window.

Note: This will only change the registered user information for Windows 98, not the application
            information on your system.
