Correct File Extensions

f you have accidentally associated a particular file type with the wrong application or one that is no longer installed on your computer, you can fix the association with Windows Explorer. To do this:

     1. Locate a file of the problem type.
     2. Hold down the Shift key while right mouse clicking it. This will cause the Open with… menu to
         appear, even though the file type now has an association.
























     3. Select Open with… and choose the correct program, and make sure the Always use this
         program to open this file box is checked (where the picture is pointing in the picture below).


















     4. Choose OK and you're done.
