Optimize Your
Modem

To optimize your modem performance:

     1. Double left mouse click the Modems icon in the Control Panel.
     2. Choose the Properties button.

     3. Choose the Connections Tab.
     4. Choose the Port Settings button.

     5. Place a check mark in the Use FIFO buffers option.

     6. Right mouse click (hold down) and drag the slider to the far right (High 14).
     7. Choose OK.
     8. Choose the General Tab.
     9. From the Maximum speed drop down list choose 115200.

     10. Place a check mark in the Only connect at this speed box.

     11. Choose the Connection Tab.
     12. Choose the Advanced button.

     13.Uncheck the Use error control and Required to connect options.

     14. Finally, choose OK on all the windows to save the new settings.
