The system restore can take up quit a bit of hard drive space. Periodically, if you don't have any problems with your computer you can delete all but the most recent system restore to recover precious hard drive space. To do this:

     1. Choose Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk Cleanup (in Windows XP
Start Menu) or Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk Cleanup (In Classic Start
         Menu).
     2. The option to choose your hard drive will be displayed. Choose your main drive from the drop
         down box and choose OK.

     3. Choose the More Options tab at the top.
     4. At the bottom you will see -System Restore and a button to Clean up. Choose this button.

     5. A confirmation box will appear asking you - Are sure you want to delete all but the most recent
         restore point? Choose Yes.

     6. Choose OK.
     7. Another confirmation box will appear asking you - Are you sure you want to perform these
         actions? Choose Yes.

     8. Depending on how you have your System Restore configured, you will be freeing up a lot of
hard drive space. Don't do this though if you have been installing a lot of programs recently
and have been having problems with Windows. You may need those System Restore points.
